Research and Studies

Current Studies:

EXERT-BCN

Based on the success of EXERT-BC, this protocol utilizes the first dose escalated resistance training regimen in breast cancer patients and adds a low-carb, high quality nutrition regimen that avoids the drudgery of calorie counting.

EXERT-C

This is the EOC master study where patients with all types of cancer will undergo a strength and resistance training workout to improve their strength, mobility, muscle mass, balance, quality of life, and functional capacity.

NEO-CRT

In this novel study, we will assess a tiered exercise programs that varies on a daily basis based on chemotherapy dosing and performance status in patients undergoing neoadjuvant FOLFIRINOX prior to whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer The study also includes monthly proteomics and metabolomics labs, along with assessment of microbiome.

EXERT-BCH

What is the optimal exercise regimen to increase hypertrophy and improve body composition in women with breast cancer? EXERT-BCH is one step closer to answering this question. EXERT-BCH is current enrolling women with breast cancer and at least 3 month experience in resistance training.
